A report released by ADP Research Institute suggests ‘an alarming number of people’ in the UK are struggling at work due to mental health issues.
Research conducted for the People at Work 2022 report shows just under half of UK employees believe their work is suffering as a result of poor mental health; 18 to 24s and 25 to 34s were most likely to hold this view, with the figure rising to over half of all respondents in each of these age cohorts.
An ADP spokesperson said, “An alarming number of people are struggling to do their jobs properly because of mental health issues. The last few years have put individuals – and the quality of the work they do – under more intense pressure than ever. Even the most enlightened employers must remain vigilant about this health crisis within a health crisis.”
